WHAT IS THE ROCHELLE AREA TRACK CLUB?
We are a member of the Illinois Association of USA Track and Field (USATF) and have been for 44 years. We are one of the oldest track clubs in Illinois.
Boys and Girls entering 1st grade-12th grade (high school athletes can either participate and practice or help as assistants. If they participate, they will register and pay)
WHEN?
» Practices are held each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, June 4 through July 18th. 5:30-7:00 p.m.
» There are several area track meets the RATC athletes will compete in. The meets are usually held on Saturdays and all meets are optional.
» Transportation and supervision to/from track meets is the responsibility of the athletes parents/guardians.
» Club members don't need to be at every practice and meet to participate.
» Athletes should wear running shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt for practice.
» This year our home meet will be June 15th.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The cost to join is $60. per athlete which covers the cost of their required USATF membership, limited insurance, a club souvenir, and access to club training equipment and facilities.
An additional $2 to $5 per event is charged for each track meet event an athlete signs up for during the season. There is also a $40 refundable worker fee for the home track meet. This fee will be reimbursed if a parent helps to work the home track meet.
WHERE ARE PRACTICES HELD?
Practices are held at the Creason Athletic Complex track at Rochelle Township High School, located at 1401 Flagg Rd in Rochelle.

Colfay Pointer–Head Girls Track and Field Coach, several assistant coaches, and high school athletes
SKILLS:
Athletes will have the opportunity to try all track and field events that interest them, as well as learn and practice fundamental skills related to proper warm-ups, core and leg strengthening, jumping and throwing, block starts, and relay exchanges.
